After not traveling much in 1996, 1997 turns into a kinda strange year.
Cousin Bill plays for Houston’s Symphony Orchestra, so, in February, meet Bill and his wife Alice in Vienna during part of their orchestra’s European tour. Continue, after they leave, to wander into Melk, and Graz (who could pass up a chance to see Arnold Schwarznegger’s home town?)
Then, in May through June, off to England: London, Cambridge and Oxford, Devon and Cornwall, Canterbury and Manchester.
In September, drive down to our “Southwest” (NV, AZ, NM, TX, OK), before swinging up into our Midwest (AR, MO, IL, IN, MI). On to Ontario/Canada, then mosey on down to our East Coast (ME, NH, MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA), and continue into our Southeast (MD, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS), before heading home (LA, TX, NM, AR).
(NOTE: Sorry… as of 2012, have documented just a little of these trips)
