Friend Patti drives us into San Luis Obispo.
As she “window shops”, my attention is drawn to sidewalks FULL of summer-dressed families & college kids.
At Mission San Luis Obispo, a sacristan refills containers of takeaway flyers describing church and culture. Outside, on its plaza, a work crew sets up stage and sound for its weekly “dance party”.
We wander “creekside” and pause at Novo (where our order of “only lemonade” clearly disappoints a tip-conscious waitress). Then an early full dinner at near-empty McLintock’s enhanced by college student Daniel’s attention and his sharing to shift toward police work.
